Crazy Things Moms Say

Last week, the kids and I were running some errands and as usual we were pressed for time. Maddie wanted to be sure that I was going to have time to make french fries (nothing special about them, just your plain old crinkle cut frozen variety) for dinner. She was so concerned that she and Carter hatched a plan to be "really good" so that I would want to make them.

Well their idea of "really good" was walking through Target with their arms around each other. Now, this is the same girl who can not stand for Carter to touch her, look at her, be anywhere near her. So it was quite a sight. They are following me all around Target giggling and being silly. Well, after a few minutes of this and after I had asked them to stop, I was beginning to get annoyed by this for some reason and I turned around and told them to "STOP IT RIGHT NOW!". Madison says, "What are we doing?". To which I replied, "Just act normal" and she said "this is how we normally act." And I said, "NO, this is not the way you normally act I have seen you and this is not normal. Just act normal!!!" I could hear myself saying this and it made me crack up. I knew how crazy it sounded even as it was coming out of my mouth.

Sometimes mom's say the darndest things!
