We had Madison's 10th birthday party this past weekend. She invited a few friends and we went to paint our own pottery. It was fun. The girls seemed to have a great time. Then we went to the Hampton Inn and had our slumber party. (We are in the middle of packing up the whole house to have carpet replaced and Maddie had her heart set on a slumber party, so we decided on the hotel). The girls thought that this was very cool. We went swimming, watched movies, ate pizza, popcorn, birthday cake, ice cream and had a really good time. All in all it was a great experience, meaning I made it through and there were hardly any tears. (only mine when Madison decided to get up at 6:45 AM after we had only gone to sleep at midnight). Here are some of the pictures.

The girls painted tiles and one painted a mug. My piece is actually a platter or maybe a square bowl. Is there such a thing? Anyway, when it is finished, it should be lime green and navy blue and I intend to use it on my table as a fruit bowl.
My, aren't you brave! The hotel slumber party sounds WAY cooler than a plain ol' at home one. Looks like everyone had a lot of fun.
