Day 1

This morning we took Chug to the airport for his mission trip to Niger, Africa. The weather was terrible! It poured rain all last night and today. But, hey, they won't see rain where they are going to be so they did not really mind.

We arrived at the airport and the group got checked in with out too many issues. A few of the bins with school supplies were over weight, so things had to be moved around. But all went off without a hitch and the kids and I said our goodbyes and the guys headed off to security.

They were to leave at 3:20 PM and have a 8 hour flight to Paris, France. Then a 6 hour layover and then another flight directly to Niger. We should receive an email tomorrow saying that they are there and hopefully with an update from Chug. (The group selected Chug to be the one to email home about the trip.)

I did not let myself think or stress about anything except getting him packed and to the airport for the flight. Even now, I am not worried but am trusting the Lord to keep them safe and for them to really have an impact for him on the people of Niger. Thanks for keeping them in your prayers! And keep all of the families that are here in your prayers too!
