Orthodontist!

We went to the Orthodontist on Monday morning before taking Chug to the airport. Both kids had appointments. Carter's went pretty smoothly. He had to get 6 more brackets on his front teeth. So now he looks like he has braces, but it is all still part of the appliance that stretches his mouth so that he will have room for all his adult teeth.


Which brings me to Madison's appointment. She has an adult tooth that is coming in very crooked, but even if it came in straight, it would NOT fit. And she has already been through the appliance ordeal...TWICE! That is right. We started it a few years back and completed the process only for the teeth to move back. This was supposedly caused by her adenoids being too big and needing to come out. So we had her adenoids removed and started the process over again. This time the space maintained. Until now! She had X-rays and the Orthodontist said that she needs another phase of this process and before that happens she needs to have THREE teeth pulled! Yikes. We have an appointment with the dentist on Friday to have a consultation and schedule the procedure. She is a little freaked out by the prospect of having the teeth pulled out. Hopefully the dentist can put her mind at ease a little. We will see...
